A submersible pump is an airtight, hermetically sealed mechanical unit designed to operate while fully submerged underwater or inside other fluids. Unlike traditional surface pumps that draw liquid up from above via suction, a submersible pump uses direct mechanical pressure to push fluid upward toward the surface.
Because the motor and impellers are completely under fluid, submersible pumps are self-priming, immune to cavitation (air bubble damage), energy-efficient, and very quiet.
